2nd ODI: New Zealand set a target of 274 runs for India
In Men’s cricket, New Zealand have set a victory target of 274 runs for India in the second One-Day International match being played at Eden Park in Auckland. India were 47 for 2 wickets in 8 overs when the reports last came in.
Being put into bat, the Kiwis put up 273 for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Martin Guptil top-scored with 79 while Ross Taylor played an unbeaten knock of 73 runs. Henry Nicholls contributed 41 runs.
For India, Yuzvendra Chahal scalped three wickets while Shardul Thakur took two and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket.
India lost the opening ODI despite posting 348-run target. The third and final ODI will be played at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui on the 11th of this month.
