ICC World Cup: Sri Lanka to take on Afghanistan in 2nd round-robin match

In the ICC Cricket World Cup, Sri Lanka will take on Afghanistan at Cardiff this afternoon in their second round-robin match. The game will begin at 3 PM (Indian Standard Time). 

Both teams had lost their opening matches. While Sri Lanka lost to New Zealand by 10 wickets, Afghanistan was beaten by Australia by 7 wickets.

Last night, Pakistan defeated hosts England by 14 runs. It was Pakistan’s first win in two games, while they handed England their first defeat.

India will play its opening game tomorrow against South Africa at Southampton. The Proteas have lost both of their first two matches.

Prasar Bharti CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati has said, All India Radio will broadcast live commentary on the World Cup every day starting from tomorrow. In a tweet, Mr Vempati said, the commentary originated by Akashvani will also be available via Internet streaming on a pilot basis for the first time.
