India to begin its Doubles campaign at French Open today

In Tennis, India will begin its Doubles campaign at the French Open, the second Grand Slam of the season and the only major played on clay, in Paris today. 

In the opening round, Rohan Bopanna and his Romanian team-mate Marius Copil will take on the South African-Kiwi pair of Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus.

Leander Paes, Divij Sharan and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, with their respective partners, will play their first-round matches later.

Prajnesh Gunneswaran, who was only Indian in the Singles, had bowed out in the opening round.

World number one Naomi Osaka, third seed Simona Halep, fifth-placed Alexander Zverev and eighth seed Juan Martin Del Potro are among those who will begin their Singles campaigns today.
