Prakash Javadekar appeals people to plant sapling on World Environment Day tomorrow

Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar today appealed people to plant a sapling on the occasion of World Environment Day tomorrow to protect the environment. 

Talking to media in New Delhi, Mr Javadekar asked people to send their selfie after planting a sapling with #selfiewithsapling. 

He said, the priority of the government is to ensure that a large number of people participate tomorrow towards saving the environment. 

Earlier, Secretary, Ministry of Environment CK Mishra had launched the song ‘Hawa Aane De’ to spread awareness against air pollution. This year the theme of the Environment Day is Air Pollution.
