President Ram Nath Kovind today stressed the need for simple living and becoming better human beings to reduce burden on the environment. He was addressing a gathering of meditators at the new Rural Headquarters of Sri Ramachandra Mission at Kanha in Nandigama block near Hyderabad this morning.
Mr Kovind laid emphasis on the role of masters of such missions in spreading positive energy around the world. He recalled his association with Sri Ramachandram Mission and quoted extensively from the preachings of the earlier masters of the mission.
The President said the Mission became a strong movement in the past 75 years and spread to around 150 countries in the world. He also said the mission preaches Budha’s teachings and values of Raj yoga. He appreciated the efforts made by the mission to set up the new rural head quarters of the mission at Kanha.
The president said Indian traditions teach Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and the masters teach universal happiness. Earlier, President Kovind unveiled the plauqe commemorating the inauguration of the worlds biggest Meditation Centre of the Sri Ramchandra Mission on the occasion.
The occasion coincides with the 75th year of the Ramachandra Mission. Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Sounderarajan, Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Chairman of the Sri Ramachandra Mission Kamlesh Patel were present on the occasion.
