Ram Madhav accuses Congress, other opposition parties of converting inclusive exercise of CAA into big controversy

BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav has accused the Congress and other Opposition parties of converting inclusive and innocuous exercise of CAA into a big controversy. Addressing the BJP legislators in Bengaluru, he emphasised that it was a historical necessity on the part of India to provide Citizenship to those persecuted in three Islamic Republics of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Mr Ram Madhav said, giving them Citizenship is a humanitarian act.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa accused the Congress and other parties of exhibiting inhuman attitude by holding demonstrations against the Citizenship Amendment Act. He held the Congress party responsible for instigating the Muslim brethren on the issue. He called upon his party MPs and MLAs to fan out to every nook and corner of the state and create awareness about the CAA and expose the conspiracy of the Congress and other Opposition parties to defame the BJP and the Prime Minister.
