Sri Lanka: Biggest congregation of Dawoodi Bohra sect being held in Colombo

The biggest congregation of Dawoodi Bohra sect is being held in Sri Lankan capital of Colombo with participation of more than twenty thousand community members. The congregation began yesterday and will last for ten days. Spiritual guru of the community His Holiness Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin conducted the first sermon of Ashara Mubaraka in Husaini Masjid. 

The theme for this year sermons has been based on an extensive counsel given by Imam Ali bin Abi Talib to his son Imam Hasan regarding moral and ethical conduct which reflect the love of a father for his son and his desire for him to be upstanding, honest and virtuous. The Dawoodi Bohras are a sect of Muslims spread all over the world. The congregation is an annual event held in different parts of the world and was held in Indore last year.
