Wimbledon: Leander Paes, pair of Purav Raja-Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan crash out

In Wimbledon Tennis, Leander Paes and the pair of Purav Raja and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan have crashed out in the first round of Men’s Doubles.

Paes and his French team-mate Benoit Paire lost to the Kazakh duo of Alexander Bublik and Mikhail Kukushkin, 6-4, 7-6, 3-6, 6-7, 7-9.

Purav and Nedunchezhiyan were beaten by the Aussie team of Lleyton Hewitt and Jordan Thompson, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2.

However, Divij Sharan and his Brazilian team-mate Marcelo Demoliner, 7-5, 6-4, 7-5 advanced to the second round.

In the Singles, world number one Novak Djokovic, Kevin Anderson, Karolina Pliskova and Simona Halep are among those who advanced to the third round.
